Eintracht Frankfurt vs TSG Hoffenheim Predictions

  • At least four goals have been scored in three of Eintracht’s last five games in all competitions
  • At least four goals have been scored in four of Hoffenheim’s last five away Bundesliga games
  • Eintracht Frankfurt have drawn four of their last seven league games, two of them 2-2

Goals on the cards in Frankfurt

An entertaining draw could be in order when Eintracht Frankfurt host Hoffenheim on Sunday in a clash of two Bundesliga clubs vying for European places.

Die Adler are unbeaten in four games domestically and snapped a three-game sequence of draws by edging past Heidenheim 2-1 last weekend.

Hoffenheim, meanwhile, followed up their fine 3-2 win at Dortmund with a 2-1 home victory over Werder Bremen and now sit one place behind Eintracht in seventh, albeit four points back.

Suspensions unlikely to clip Hoffenheim’s wings

The chance to close the gap and really make their case for a top-six finish will not be lost on coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, who is likely to go on the attack in Frankfurt.

His hand is forced slightly by suspensions incurred by his two wing-backs last week, which could mean winger Ihlas Bebou is deployed on the right-hand side of a 3-4-1-2 formation. That could help in-form striker Maximilian Beier adding to his burgeoning goal tally after a grace against Werder last weekend.

Both teams have regularly seen games feature four or more goals and that should have a good chance of happening again on Sunday. Hoffenheim have drawn three of their last six Bundesliga games while three of Eintracht’s last four in the league and four of their last six overall have been stalemates – but all featured goals.
