      France vs Germany Predictions

France have been casually trundling along playing friendly matches whilst the rest of Europe has been locked in a battle for qualification to Euro 2016.

But with the nation looking on, they have wanted to keep in top shape rather than relax and play against minnow opposition.

They have played the likes of Denmark, Serbia, Portugal, Belgium, and Brazil in 2015, and on more times than not they have come out the victors.

Brazil and Belgium both managed to beat them, with Albania surprisingly joining that party back in June. Other than that they have won every match, taking their record to five wins and three defeats for the year.

Germany are one of those sides who come fresh from a Euro 2016 Qualifying campaign. It wasn’t as easy for them as everybody expected it to be.

The World Cup 2014 winners have been seen struggling on a number of occasions, with both Poland and the Republic of Ireland dishing out defeats to them. They could also only manage a draw against Ireland in their home fixture.

They did win the other seven matches in Group D though, which saw them finish top of the group with a one point advantage over runners up Poland.

They left it late in the day to secure the top spot though. They needed a win in the final game to ensure qualification, and at home against Georgia they struggled to put the ball in the net. It wasn’t until ten minutes from time that they finally managed to grab the winner against the underdogs.

This rival showdown is very even on paper, with both sides in fairly good form but not setting the world alight. Recent history is also well matched, with Germany winning the last two meetings but France winning in four of the five matches prior to them.

Germany have only failed to score twice in their last 16 matches in all competitions, whilst France have only failed to find the back of the net once in 14 outings. This makes odds of 8/11 for Both Teams to Score look pretty attractive to me.
