Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams look capable of scoring here as Finland have scored in seven successive games, conceding in six of those, while Greece have scored in 10 of their last 12 home games and have a new manager to impress.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Both teams are capable of scoring, but they may have to settle for one goal each. The Greeks have only won three of their last seven and those victories have come against Kazakhstan, New Zealand and Malta, while Finland aren’t necessarily strong travellers but they did manage a score draw in Scotland last time out. Under 2.5 goals has landed in three of Greece’s last five home games so a 1-1 draw holds some appeal here.

Greece vs Finland Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in six of Finland’s last seven games.
  • Greece have scored in 10 of their last 12 home games.
  • Greece have lost just one of their last 12 at home.

Greeks and Finns in tough draw

Greece and Finland have been drawn alongside England and the Republic of Ireland in what looks a tough Group 2 in Nations League B.

The hosts have a new man in charge as Ivan Jovanović has replaced Gus Poyet, and his task is ending their exile from international tournament that stretches back to the 2014 World Cup.

Markku Kanerva has made Finland a tough side to break down in recent years and this should be a fairly tight game. The best approach could well be backing goals at both ends despite the fact Greece’s games are generally low scoring.

Both teams have scored in six of Finland’s last seven games and they have scored in all of those, while Greece have only failed to score in two of their last 12 home fixtures in a run stretching back to 2021.

Finland managed a draw in Scotland in their last trip and Greece are a tough side to beat at home. The hosts have lost just one of their last 12 on Greek soil, against the Netherlands, and these sides may cancel each other out so a 1-1 result appeals.
