Hartlepool vs Woking Predictions

Hartlepool claimed all three points last time out against Barrow and now sit on the cusp of the playoff places in the National League table, while Woking, who drew at home to Torquay on Tuesday night, occupy second place and trail the league leaders Halifax on goal difference.

All of the stats and even the limited head to head record between these two clubs suggest that we will see both teams score on Saturday and that the most likely result is a draw.

These two sides have only locked horns twice before but both teams scored in each of those meetings and Hartlepool are unbeaten against Woking after the pair picking draw their first-ever encounter 1-1 at Woking and Saturday’s hosts picked up a 3-2 win when the pair last met in 2018.

The recent performances and form of both clubs also suggest that we will be treated to goals at both ends of the pitch and that the logical result will be a draw, as both teams scored in four of Hartlepool’s and five of Woking’s last six matches, and the hosts have only lost one of their last six matches and their guests are unbeaten in their last six games.

Last time out Woking drew at home to Torquay 1-1, and Hartlepool have drawn two of their last six matches, away at Chorley 0-0 and home to Fylde 2-2. Woking have outperformed their hosts so far this season but both teams are in good form and Hartlepool have the home advantage this weekend. We’re expecting at least three goals from Saturday’s clash as over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Hartlepool’s and four of Woking’s last six matches, which makes a 2-2 draw the most likely result.

We’re confident that both teams will score on Saturday and have predicted a final scoreline of 2-2. These two teams are both playing well right now but Woking edge the form guide and have performed better than Hartlepool so far this season which is why we don’t see the visitors losing this one. However, Woking are yet to beat Hartlepool and both teams have been scoring plenty of goals and not keeping a lot of clean sheets in recent weeks.
