    Juventus vs Young Boys Predictions

Juventus kicked off their bid to win the Champions League with a 2-0 victory in Valencia in their opening group game. However, Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off at 0-0 in that clash, after the Italians splurged £100million on him to lead them to glory in this competition. He’ll be back for deciding clashes against Man United, but before that, the Italian champions face their counterparts from Switzerland. Tuesday’s early kick-offs bring us Italy’s Old Lady up against Young Boys of Berne, but will the gulf in experience tell?

The hosts will look at this as their most straightforward game, so there’s a chance that Ronaldo may not have featured anyway. However, their was obvious anger from the player and the club about that red card. Unsurprisingly, UEFA announced that Ronaldo faced the minimum ban on the same day that VAR was confirmed for next season’s group stages. That’s too late for Juve, who will just have to make do with the plethora of talent they have outside of the reigning Ballon d’Or holder.

It doesn’t bode well for Young Boys that they lost their opener to United 3-0, with the Red Devils looking like clear second favourites to top this pile. Even worse was the clash came in Berne, and now they visit Turin to take on Juve. The visitors have made a perfect start domestically, but they’re making a clear step up. They face an in form Juve side, while the visitors have lost three of their last five in the Champions League.

Juventus added their seventh win from seven at the weekend, which saw them win 3-1 against Napoli. That comfortable win against their closest challengers put Juve six points clear already at the top of Serie A. An eighth straight title is seemingly on the way, but can they claim success in Europe? They’ll want to build on their win in Valencia and top this group, so a win this week is key.

Juve do have plenty of talent outside of Ronaldo, with Mario Mandzukic hitting two goals at the weekend. He’s likely to be supported by the mercurial Paulo Dybala, while Miralem Pjanic already has two goals under his belt in this competition. We expect Juve to have more than enough to deal with the visitors, so we’re backing them with a -2 Asian Handicap. This is the easiest Champions League clash Juve have faced for some time, so they should rack up the goals. Having kept four clean sheets in their last six group games, they should win this one by a comfortable margin. To learn more about Asian Handicap betting, take a look at our guide.
