      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Kilmarnock games rarely lack drama and they come into this off a chaotic 4-3 win. They’ve seen goals at both ends in five of their last seven and 15 of 26 league matches overall. Celtic have scored at least twice in four of their last five and average over two goals per game against bottom-half sides. The visitors should score, but Killie can contribute.

      Celtic 2-1

      Reason for tip

Celtic’s firepower gives them the edge, but Kilmarnock’s recent attacking output suggests they won’t go quietly. A 2-1 away win fits the pattern, with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

      Kilmarnock vs Celtic Predictions

      Goals likely at Rugby Park

Take teams to score when Kilmarnock host Celtic at Rugby Park on Sunday. Celtic have scored at least twice in four of their last five Premiership games and they will be confident of finding the net against Neil McCann’s side.

Kilmarnock are 11th in the Premiership, eight places below Celtic, with four wins, eight draws and 14 defeats from their 26 games this season. Celtic have 16 wins, three draws and six losses, and are 31 points ahead of Kilmarnock.

Kilmarnock were 4-3 winners against St Mirren in their last Premiership game on Wednesday and have been the winners in two home games in a row, but Celtic are unbeaten in nine of their last ten visits to Kilmarnock and have beaten them in 17 of the last 20 Premiership meetings.

Kilmarnock responded to a 5-1 loss to Rangers by beating St Mirren 4-3 on Wednesday, with Tyreece John-Jules netting a hat-trick and Greg Kiltie also scoring for the hosts. They had more possession – 57.2% – than in any Premiership game they’ve played this season, and they edged to victory to the delight of those who backed them at 17/10.

The Celtic attack has been enjoying a prolific spell in front of goal. The visitors have scored an average of 2.15 goals a game in their 13 Premiership games against bottom-half teams this season, and have scored two or more goals in 13 of their 25 league games overall.

Both teams have scored in five of Kilmarnock’s last seven Premiership matches, and 15 of their 26 league games this season have seen goals at both ends.

A 2-1 away win for Celtic looks a decent correct-score bet. No team has played more Premiership matches with three goals or more than Kilmarnock this season, and they have been on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline three times.
