Liverpool vs Norwich Predictions

  • Liverpool have scored at least three goals in seven of their last nine at home
  • Norwich have conceded 22 goals across their five meetings with the league’s top three
  • The Canaries have met Liverpool three times this season, conceding three goals in each
  • Liverpool have conceded in 10 of their last 12 FA Cup ties

Reds run promises more glory

Liverpool’s season seems to have turned around, and all it took was a 13-match unbeaten streak including a run of nine wins from 10. The Reds saw their nine-game winning streak ended on Sunday, but they triumphed on penalties against Chelsea at Wembley to lift the Carabao Cup.

That’s sparked talk of a Liverpool quadruple this season, despite them being written off in the title race just last month. Before they continue their chase on Man City, Wednesday brings an FA Cup Fifth Round clash as Jurgen Klopp and co. chase more domestic silverware.

Canaries up against it

The Premier League’s bottom club were hoping that the cup would be respite from their tough season, but a quick return to Anfield has all but ended their hopes. Norwich are massive outsiders, having lost 3-1 at this ground just two games ago.

The visitors are on a three-match losing streak which has seen them ship nine goals, leaving them rooted to the bottom of the table. They’ve now conceded 22 goals across their five clashes with the league’s top three, while they’ve conceded nine goals across three clashes with Liverpool this term.

Another big win for Reds

Liverpool have scored at least three times in seven of their last nine home games, winning 6-0 against Leeds in their last turn at Anfield. In the FA Cup they’ve started off by scoring seven times across their opening two ties, but they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in both.

The Reds have kept only two clean sheets across their last 12 in this competition. Klopp tends to make major changes in the FA Cup, so don’t be surprised if they end up conceding to Norwich for the second time in a matter of weeks.

Given the hosts’ form and their issues at the back in the cup, back over 3.5 goals in this clash. The Reds have won comfortably in all their meetings with Norwich this term, so back a 4-1 home victory as they look to continue their fantastic form.
