Molde to maintain home dominance over Valerenga

The four time Eliteserien champions, who finished runners-up last term, have also won four of the last five meetings between the sides and were resounding 4-1 winners in 2020’s corresponding clash.

They head into this Thursday’s encounter in good form after amassing ten points from their first four games of the season, including a gutsy 2-3 victory at Rosenborg on Monday night.

Valerenga’s start has been much more underwhelming with just five points collected thus far and Fagermo Dal-Eilev’s side were held to a 1-1 draw away to Mjondalen earlier in the week.

It’s hard to envisage them getting anything here against a strong Molde outfit based on that result and their record at this venue, so punters are advised to get behind the hosts, who can seal another three points via a comfortable 3-1 triumph.
