Peterborough vs Blackpool Predictions
- Both teams have scored in seven of Peterborough’s last 11 fixtures
- Blackpool have only kept two clean sheets in their last 15 away matches
- Nine of the Tangerines’ last 12 on the road have seen both teams net
Can Peterborough finish miserable season on a high?
Peterborough have been yo-yoing between the Championship and League One in recent years, and they will be back in the third tier next season after having their relegation confirmed last month.
The Posh have seriously struggled at home, where they have conceded 33 goals in 22 games, the second worst defensive record in the division, keeping just one clean sheet in the last twelve.
Grant McCann’s side have been getting progressively better in the final third though, to the extent that both teams have netted in half of their last six at London Road, as well as seven in 11 at all venues.
Blackpool searching for rare away success
Blackpool have had a solid season on their return to the Championship and secured their place in the division for next season some time ago, but their away form will be a concern.
Neil Critchley’s side beat Barnsley 2-0 in their last game on the road, but that ended a run of one victory in 14, with 10 of those fixtures seeing both teams score.
The Tangerines have had defensive issues throughout the campaign, managing one clean sheet in their last eight at all venues, but they have netted 54 league goals – only one side below them has scored more.
I think that both teams will score in this fixture, but it is possible that neither will be able to end the campaign with a win, with 1-1 my correct score prediction.
