In-form Lille can keep top-four hopes alive

Having suffered only one defeat in 22 Ligue 1 games, Reims have now lost three on the spin and more misery may follow at the expense of fifth-placed Lille.

It appears Reims, who had made such a promising start under manager William Still, have been found out and mid-table looks where they are destined for.

Not only have Reims lost three in a row, but they have failed to score in those defeats to Rennes, Strasbourg and Clermont and Lille’s greater need for points makes them the bet.

The visitors are hot on the heels of Monaco in the battle for fourth, having lost only one of their last nine, and they made late work of Ajaccio in a 3-0 win last time out.

Away from home, Lille’s form has been indifferent but they have won at Rennes, drawn at third-placed Lennes and scored three in defeat to table-topping Paris St-Germain this term.

With only two clean sheets in ten, however, there may be a consolation goal in it for Reims and a 2-1 Lille win is advised for correct-score punters.
