      Udinese vs Verona Predictions

Udinese are having a rotten season and recent memories of playing in the Champions League must feel a long time ago for the club’s supporters, who have not seen the team win any of their last eight matches. Udinese need top goalscorer Cyril Théréau to find form – he has scored seven goals this season but has not found the net in any of his last five matches.

Verona have been much improved of late despite still being without an away win in Serie A this season. They remain bottom of the table but have beaten Chievo and Atalanta at home recently to boost their slim survival chances. Verona rely heavily on goals and leadership from veteran striker Luca Toni, who remains a handful for even the most skilful and experienced defenders.

      Reason for Betting Tips

Tipping the worst team in Serie A is a radical choice, but Verona have shown enough in their form to suggest they can finally get that away victory at the recently reopened Friuli on Sunday. Two wins in their last four matches show an upturn in form for Luigi Delneri’s side, whereas Udinese are on a downward spiral, losing their last two matches after drawing three in a row. Verona to win at 11/4 with bet365 is a bold choice but they are well overdue a win on the road. Delneri’s men have scored plenty of goals recently and a 3-1 victory priced at 28/1 with bet365 is well worth a small wager.

      Head-to-Head

Verona have won on their last two away trips to Udinese, triumphing 2-1 and 3-1 in two 2014 visits. However, Udinese have not lost on either of their last two matches at Verona – so the head-to-head record is a mixed bag in recent years.

      Statistics

Udinese are without a win in eight games and have failed to score in five of their last seven home matches, while Verona are winless in 15 away fixtures despite scoring at least twice in each of their last four games.

      Team News

Udinese: Emil Hallfredsson is suspended so Zdravko Kuzmanović could come into the team, with Udinese expected to stick with the 4-3-3 formation they recently switched to. Alexander Merkel and Maurizio Domizzi are injured.

Verona: Vangelis Moras is suspended and will miss his first match of the season, with coach Luigi Delneri expected to name an attacking line-up
