Back both teams to score in Paris

European champions PSG host Strasbourg this Friday evening in Ligue 1 and will have their work cut out against one of the better sides in the division. PSG are clearly in a league of their own on their day and are already top of Ligue 1. However, they have dropped points to Marseille, whom they lost to, and Lille, who managed to earn a draw. Strasbourg are as good as, and arguably slightly better than, both of them, and currently sit third in the table.

PSG have a perfect home record this season, with three wins from three, scoring five and conceding none. However, they have yet to host a side as strong as Strasbourg, and while they haven’t conceded at home, they did allow several good chances to Auxerre and Lens. PSG are expected to score in every game, but Strasbourg are more than capable of finding the net themselves. Both teams scored in both of their meetings last season, and that looks the recommended bet for this matchup.

PSG still boast the superior quality overall, and while Strasbourg may get on the scoresheet, they’ll need to do much more to take anything away from Paris. We fancy PSG to ultimately come away with a 3-1 win.
