PSG have work to do

French champions PSG ran out 3-1 winners at Rennes before the international break, but they still have work to do domestically. The Paris side is starting a ninth game of a Ligue 1 campaign off the top of the table for the first time since 2016/17.

PSG are unbeaten in their last 32 home games against Strasbourg in Ligue 1 (W25 D7) and the hosts should be confident of extending that run this weekend. The visitors have lost twice on the road already, going down to the top two in Monaco and Nice.

Both of those defeats came by at least two clear goals, while each of PSG’s victories in Ligue 1 this term have seen them clear a -1 handicap. A repeat looks to be on the cards this weekend, especially with the hosts more dominant on the ball than ever and having hit 10 goals past Strasbourg across the last three meetings in the capital.
