Reims vs PSG Predictions

PSG confidence has likely taken a knock

PSG suffered a setback in the Champions League on Tuesday night, losing 2-1 to Milan, and they could be vulnerable in this Saturday’s Ligue 1 contest with Reims.

The capital club dominated and took the lead after only nine minutes in Milan but failed to hold on and allowed their opponents 16 shots, eight of which were on target.

They are still on course for the knockout stages but their confidence has surely taken a hit and it was the second successive away fixture in which they have wobbled.

Late last month PSG were pushed close by Brest in a 3-2 win, snatching three points thanks to Kylian Mbappe’s 89th-minute strike.

And they are worth taking on in their next outing away to Reims, who have lost just one of their last six games, beating Lille, Lyon, Lorient and Nantes as part of that run.

Reims are a tough nut to crack

Their recent streak has put them in the early mix for the European places and the club look in good hands under Will Still, whose side drew with PSG home and away in the league last season.

The most recent meeting between the clubs in January finished 1-1 and that looks like a decent correct score prediction when they reconvene at the Stade Auguste-Delaune II.
