Emirates Stadium,

There are a couple of pubs for away supporters in the area with Drayton Park a popular choice and a convenient stop due to its location, near the Arsenal tube station and Drayton Park railway station. The other is the Courage pub which is just a short distance from the Emirates but this ale house is known to get busy on matchdays. Most of the attractions are based in the city centre but if you’re looking to kill some time in the area then there’s the Islington Ecology Centre in Gillespie Park or Highbury Fields. Parking is in short supply by the ground so it’s advisable to take the tube. The Holloway Road station is closed on matchdays so the nearest accessible stop is the Arsenal station on the Piccadilly Line, alternatively you can get the train to Finsbury Park which is only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the stadium.

For away supporters with little time it is best to head to Boscombe where there are fast food outlets that are just 15-20 minutes from the ground. The Sir Percy Florence Shelley, a Wetherspoon pub in Boscombe, allows away fans and is well policed. If you don't get in there head down the road to Pokesdown and The Bell pub. There is also the Cherries' Cafe in Curzon Road, but I am not sure if they welcome away fans.

Turf Moor,

Burnley Cricket Club is recognised as the perfect location for away fans due to its proximity to Turf Moor and car park, it’s also a good spot for getting a bit of pre-match food and drink. The area is surrounded by lovely countryside so for enthusiastic walkers, the Ribble Valley is a must but you can also enjoy a stroll around the grounds of Towneley Hall if you’re wanting a change of pace. It’s a bit of a distance from Burnley's train stations to Turf Moor with most fans choosing to drive and the aforementioned cricket club car park is opposite the stadium.

Stamford Bridge is around 40 minutes from pretty much anywhere in Central London on the District Line, with the nearest station being Fulham Broadway which is just a 5-minute walk to the ground. After the game the station is incredibly busy so allow half an hour from leaving the ground to queue and get onto a packed tube train. Alternatively, Earl's Court is only a 20-minute walk away, so it is often quicker to walk there and catch the tube.

Selhurst Park has a few pubs between it and the Thornton Heath station that away fans can use, with a Wetherspoons opposite the station and the Railway Telegraph pub nearby. Closer towards the ground there is the Thomas Farley while there are plenty of kebab and chip shops on route to the stadium. There aren’t too many well-known attractions in the area but all the museums and tourist areas of central London are just a short journey away. Selhurst, Thornton Heath and Norwood Junction are all within a 10 to 15 minute walk of the stadium so there are plenty of options for away fans.

Londesboro Fisheries on Londesborough Street is between the station/city centre and the ground and is very popular. The KCOM is a 15-20-minute walk from the city centre and also from Princes Avenue where there are a whole host of bars and really good eateries.

For a drink, Blues Bar and Grill, Local Hero and the Counting House are the closest pubs to the ground. All fairly standard – My tip is The Font - great for burgers and craft beers (this is where I drink) – a bit more student/indie types/football causals. Most pubs are home fans only – but sometimes it’s more relaxed, depends on the game.

No exagerration, Tony's Stadium Chippy across the road from the ground does the best fish and chips I've ever eaten anywhere in my life.

The Etihad isn't brilliantly served when it comes to pubs though unfortunately, especially for visiting supporters. Mary D's (next door to the aforementioned chip shop) is a decent enough place for home fans to drink but away fans are probably better off drinking in the city centre.

Pub options are limited around the ground so many away fans choose to head into the city centre. Southampton has a range of museums like the Sea City museum and Solent Sky museum but if you’re looking to spend your time outdoors then the New Forest and a number of coastal walks are just a short drive away from the city. St Mary’s is less than a mile from the city centre and while Southampton Central is a bit further away they’re both within walking distance.

White Hart Lane,

Tottenham has undergone a bit of a transformation in recent years so the area has more restaurants and other places to eat than it used to, however, drinking in the area isn’t as easy. The best options are for the pubs in central London but there are a couple of places to drink like the Elmhurst or Haringey Irish Centre which is opposite White Hart Lane station. There isn’t an abundance of things to do around Tottenham but you can visit Seven Sisters Indoor Market, or if you go a little bit further afield then there’s the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow. Like most clubs in London the easiest way to get to the ground is public transport and White Hart Lane station is the closest to the ground and is served by trains leaving Liverpool Street. The tube stop closest to the stadium is Seven Sisters on the Victoria line but it’s a 20-minute walk from there.

With the London Stadium new to the Premier League circuit full details of where away fans will be spending time is something that remains to be seen but the nearby Westfield Shopping Centre means there are plenty of places to get food and drink. Set in the grounds of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the stadium has a lot of features to look around and relive the magic of London 2012 with the ArcelorMittal Orbit observation tower a particular highlight.
