Palermo vs Pescara Predictions

This game looked to be a clash of two hopeless sides, until a few crazy minutes on Sunday night changed everything. Palermo, who went in to the weekend bottom of Serie A, hit two goals in the final two minutes of their game at Genoa. That ended the hosts’ unbeaten home record, and earned a 4-3 win for the Rosanero.

That wasn’t a result anyone saw coming, given how poor Palermo have looked this term. However, things are now looking a lot better for the strugglers. Maybe their ninth manager of 2016 is finally the right man for the job? At least Eugenio Corini is likely to now see out the year in the ever rotating Rosanero hot-seat.

On the other hand, Pescara come into this game in a horrible position and things don’t look to be getting any better for them. They were blocked from their own Christmas party recently, as a group of protesting fans turned up in front of the restaurant to stop the team from entering. They’ve currently got a police presence at their training ground, such is the anger of their fans.

They’ve now taken Palermo’s place at the bottom of the table. They’re also yet to win a game this term. Their only three points came from a void result at Sassuolo, where the hosts brought on an ineligible player. Meanwhile, Palermo have claimed 100% of their nine points so far away from home, losing all eight matches here.

However, Palermo will be hoping their 4-3 win last weekend can be a turning point. This weekend could help them turn their form around. Bologna were another side who were struggling to find a win, then they met Pescara on Sunday and they ran out 3-0 victors. A couple of sides have ended their wait for a win against Pescara, and the Rosanero will be hopeful of doing the same.

However, Pescara are going to have a chance too. Palermo have conceded 2.13 goals per game in their home matches so far, while they’ve let in a goal in 94% of the Serie A matches, including 100% of their home outings. Meanwhile, Pescara have conceded in basically every game, bar the 3-0 win they were awarded at Sassuolo. Given how poor these two are at the back, and the fact that both need to push forward for points, means we’re backing both teams to score here. That’s priced at 10/11 with bet365.
