      West Bromwich Albion to Win

      Reason for tip

West Brom should be backed to secure a home win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday as they look to recover from last week’s 2-1 defeat at Plymouth. Unbeaten in ten home league games, Albion’s strong home form and Wednesday’s defensive issues suggest they can claim an important three points.

      West Bromwich Albion 3-1

      Reason for tip

West Brom can claim a 3-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, extending their ten-game unbeaten home run. Sheffield Wednesday have struggled defensively, conceding in 13 of their last 16 games, while Albion have netted in their last three home wins. With four two-goal victories this season, a 3-1 correct score appeals.

West Bromwich Albion vs Sheffield Wednesday Predictions

      Baggies to bounce back

West Brom should be backed to get a home win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday as they look to bounce back from last week’s disappointing loss at Plymouth.

They are sixth in the Championship, four places above Sheffield Wednesday, but just two points separate the two sides. West Brom have ten wins, 14 draws and six defeats from their 30 games, while Sheffield Wednesday have 11 wins, nine draws and ten losses.

West Brom were surprisingly beaten 2-1 by Plymouth on Saturday, having been priced at 8/11 to win. This means they have failed to win four of the nine games in which they have been odds on this season, despite a 5-1 win over Portsmouth two weeks ago.

However, West Brom have gone ten home games without defeat in the Championship, winning four of their last five.

Sheffield Wednesday dominated possession in their 1-1 draw with Luton on Saturday, having 67.9% of the ball, but they will be disappointed not to have won the game.

Wednesday’s defence has been vulnerable lately, with the visitors conceding in 13 of their last 16 league games.

Four of West Brom’s ten wins this season have been by a two-goal margin and a 3-1 win for them here is an attractive correct-score bet. Albion have conceded in two of their last three home wins.
