      Sheffield United to Win

      Reason for tip

Wrexham are unbeaten in their last eight league games at the Racecourse Ground, but Sheffield United have got their act together after a dismal start and can come out on top of this one.

      Wrexham vs Sheffield United Predictions

      • Wrexham have won one of their last seven Championship matches
      • Sheffield United have scored three goals in five of their last seven games
      • Nine of the Blades’ last 12 games have featured more than two goals

Dragons still adjusting to Championship life

Wrexham were always likely to need a season of consolidation in the Championship after three successive promotions and a position of 15th is no disgrace as they head into their Boxing Day fixture with Sheffield United.

However, they have hit a bit of a rut and, being winless in their last five games, they could be vulnerable against the Blades despite the fact they have not suffered a defeat at the Racecourse Ground since falling 3-1 to QPR on September 13.

So teh Dragons are doing OK, but things are going better for the Blades and the points could be heading to South Yorkshire after this one.

Wilder has the Blades firing again

Having lost to Sunderland in last season’s Championship playoff final, the last thing United fans anticipated was a fight at the wrong end of the table, which is exactly what looked in store after 11 defeats in their opening 14 games.

Chris Wilder has returned as boss and while he was unable to enact an overnight recovery, the Blades have got their act together and have been full of goals.

A 3-0 win at Hillsborough in the derby against Wednesday has given them a real boost and they followed that by winning at Leicester and also seeing off Portsmouth, Stoke and BIrmingham at Bramall Lane.

So they could come out on top again here, with a repeat of the 3-2 success they earned at the King Power of potential interest to correct-score punters.
