The Red Wings easily have a better team than the Canadiens, which is clear as one team is rebuilding and the other is not. That means Detroit should beat Montreal on most nights, let alone do or die. The Red Wings played with fire last night taking the Canadiens to overtime, so I don’t expect them to do it again. 

With Hunter Brown’s last two starts, he’s a pitcher that I could struggle to get behind, especially when facing a team like the Braves.  The Braves are a dangerous team, and despite their recent pitching struggles, their bats have helped them win those tight games.  The Braves will find ways to get to Brown early and shouldn’t have any issues scoring against a struggling Astros bullpen.

The Lakers have proven to be a bad matchup for New Orleans, shooting 53 percent from the field against the Pelicans this season. I believe the experience of Lebron and Davis will prove to be pivotal in this opening playoff game.

With all due respect to Miami, the 76ers are just in way better form right now. Since Embiid has returned they’ve been on fire and the big fella is looking like he hasn’t missed a beat. The two teams clashed just 10 days ago in South Beach and Philadelphia came out on top 109-105, I think they can cover the spread at home here.
