How does the FA Cup work?

The tournament begins with multiple qualifying rounds in which teams from as far down as tier 10 on the league ladder are involved. The tournament is in a knock-out format, with only one leg being played between each team. The first round contains those who have qualified plus every team from League One and League Two. In the third round teams from the Premier League and Championship join the party. The final is a showpiece event and is held at Wembley Stadium.

When is each stage?

We will have FA Cup betting tips prepared for every single match in every single round of the competition, the dates for which are as follows:

6 November 2021 – First Round

4 December – Second Round

8 January 2022 – Third Round

25 February – Fourth Round

2 March – Fifth Round

19 March – Quarter-finals

16 April – Semi-finals

14 May – Final

When is the FA Cup final?

The 2022 final will take place on Saturday 14 May at Wembley Stadium. The kick-off time is usually confirmed in April. It will be shown on BBC One.
