HSV are on a five-game winless run, with three defeats, and Hoffenheim have been generally strong on their travels this season. Hoffenheim won the reverse fixture 4-1 and can complete a league double this weekend. Both teams have scored in four of Hamburg’s last five home games.

Bristol City can win but they may also concede. City’s away games often produce goals and they are capable of taking chances even when not dominating. Birmingham are scoring consistently but not always watertight, which opens the door for a narrow away win.

Derby look the best bet away at QPR. They sit five places higher and have been consistent in front of goal, scoring in 18 of their last 20 league matches. The away side aren’t in much better shape but Atletico have a Champions League semi-final with Arsenal looming large this week and that could leave them open to a low-scoring home loss on Saturday.

There is a three-way battle for the Scottish Premiership title with Celtic currently third behind leaders Hearts and second-placed Rangers. The Hoops can ill-afford to lose ground as they are three points adrift of top with both of their rivals still to play. The Glasgow giants should do the business this weekend against Falkirk. The Hoops have won all four meetings with Falkirk this season by an aggregate score of 11-1 and they can win without conceding. 

Only two teams have conceded more goals this season than Barrow’s 73, and that suggests there could be goals at the Abbey Stadium when Cambridge United host Barrow on Saturday. Back over 2.5 goals for the home side.

PSG have a remarkable record against these opponents, winning the last 19 meetings between the two, and they should be able to extend that with a win to nil against one of the lowest scoring teams in the division.

Henry: It has been a miserable campaign for the Dons, but Stephen Robinson picked up his first win since taking charge of the Reds when beating Hibs 2-0 last time out and that was an impressive result. Killie have won only one of 16 away league matches this term and they are difficult to fancy at Pittodrie.

Gareth: Exeter are coming into this game after a pair of high-scoring draws with two promotion chasers and they look up for the fight. Burton have been in good form themselves but they blew a lead against another relegation contender as they were pegged back at Peterborough in their last game and could slip up again here.

Joe: Celtic and Falkirk suffered contrasting fortunes in last weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-finals, with the Bhoys beating St Mirren 6-2 after extra-time while the Bairns lost on penalties to rivals Dunfermline. Both teams had scored in Falkirk’s six games before that nervy semi-final and they can serve it up to a Celtic team who have been far from convincing at the back. Martin O’Neill’s men did show what they can do if they click going forwards however and the return to full fitness of Kelechi Iheanacho is a massive boost. Side with both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in what should be a breathless affair.

Alex: With an eight-point buffer inside the top four, all of Atletico Madrid’s focus will be on next week’s Champions League meeting with Arsenal and that should give Athletic Bilbao the chance to improve their own European prospects with at least a point in Madrid.

Man City know a win will see them replace Arsenal at the top of the pile and they have been have been in strong scoring form with 11 goals across their last four games. City hammered the Clarets 5-1 in the reverse fixture and look capable of covering a -2 handicap on Wednesday.

Barcelona have celebrated their return to the Nou Camp with 16 wins from 16 home games this term. They’re expected to complete a double over Celta Vigo, following a 4-2 away win in November. Celta have suffered four defeats in five across all competitions, but they’ve scored in 13 of their 15 league trips.

Sevilla’s win over Atletico Madrid ended a three-game losing streak, but they remain only two points above the drop zone. Levante have won all three of their home meetings with the bottom six this season. They were also 3-0 winners in their visit to Sevilla earlier this term. 

Stuttgart’s two home defeats have come against Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, winning 11 of 13 matches outside of that. They’ve conceded just 14 goals, half of which came in those two defeats. Visitors Freiburg have lost all of their six visits to the Bundesliga’s top eight, failing to score in five of those.

RB Leipzig have strengthened their grip on a Champions League spot with six wins from seven. The visitors have lost five of their last seven, and nine of their 14 defeats this term have come by a two-goal margin or greater. Seven of Leipzig’s 10 home wins have been by two goals or more.

Southampton have been in brilliant form since the FA Cup third round, scoring in every game since their 3-2 win over Doncaster. City have hit top gear in recent weeks, and they are worthy favourites to make it to the FA Cup final for the fourth season running. However, the Saints have proven capable of causing problems going forward, so back them to score in a defeat.

Daniele De Rossi has made Genoa into a more open side, and his side have scored at least twice in six of their last seven home games. Cesc Fabregas has made Como into one of Serie A’s most progressive sides. His team have netted 15 goals across their visits to teams in the bottom half, but they’ve lost 4-3 to Inter and 2-1 to Sassuolo in their last two league games.

Chelsea’s loss to Manchester United was their sixth defeat in seven, and the Blues have failed to score in five of their last six. Leeds have had the Blues’ number this season, beating them 3-1 at Elland Road, before fighting back from 2-0 down to draw at Stamford Bridge.
