Brentford have 10 points from the last 12 available and have been in fine form at home of late, winning four of their last six at this ground and drawing the other two. The Bees can see off a Sunderland side who are missing a number of players due to AFCON and have managed just two wins on their travels in the league this season.
Villa have won 12 of their last 13 games and the in-form visitors should be able to overcome out-of-sorts Palace. The Eagles have just one point to show from their last five games and offered little on defeat at Newcastle over the weekend.
Games between these two teams tend to be pulsating, end-to-end affairs and this one should be no different, especially considering Manchester City’s defensive injuries. Take both teams to score in a game which also goes over 2.5 goals.
Four of Bournemouth’s last five games have produced at least four goals and both teams have scored in all of those clashes. Spurs score on average 1.6 goals per-game on their travels and that suggests both teams should be able to contribute at Dean Court and these sides can combine for at least four goals.
Wolves have finally found some life after a draw at Manchester United and a first league win of the season against West Ham, so there is a decent chance they can get something from their trip to Everton, who lost 4-2 at home to Brentford on Sunday.
Manchester United left it late to secure a 3-2 victory at home to Burnley at the end of August – Bruno Fernandes scored a 97th-minute penalty to land the spoils – and the Red Devils may have to rely on another high-scoring win. Both teams have scored in nine of United’s ten away league games this season and the Clarets are playing with more attacking intent.
Back-to-back wins over Burnley and Crystal Palace have helped Newcastle return to Premier League’s top half and they can keep the feelgood factor going with victory over Leeds at fortress St James’ Park. Leeds are winless in seven on the road and four of their last five league games have gone under 2.5 goals.
Manchester City vs Brighton Bet Builder Tip
Tijjani Reijnders to score or assist
Tijjani Reijners has proven a fantastic signing in the centre of Manchester City’s midfield, and he heads into this clash fresh from scoring his seventh goal for club and country this season.
The Netherlands international has added a further seven assists to this tally, and he has a goal contribution in four of his last five outings for the Citizens.
Yasin Ayari to have 2+ shots
Yasin Ayari has had more shots than any other Brighton player this season, averaging 2.49 shots per 90 minutes.
He has had 14 shots in his last four games, registering two or more attempts in each of them, and he comes up against a Manchester City side facing an injury crisis at the back after Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias were forced off against Chelsea.
Georginio Rutter to be fouled 2+ times
Georginio Rutter has averaged 1.84 fouls drawn per 90 minutes for Brighton this season and was fouled twice in the Seagulls’ 2-0 win over Burnley last time out. The 23-year-old has drawn two or more fouls in six of his last seven starts and looks good value to do so again.
Bernardo Silva to commit 2+ fouls
Bernardo Silva has picked up a club-high eight bookings for Manchester City this season and committed five fouls in their draw with Chelsea last time out.
He has committed two or more fouls in three of his last four games, and Brighton have drawn over ten fouls per game in the Premier League this season.
Bet of the Day Tip
Villa have won 12 of their last 13 games and the in-form visitors should be able to overcome out-of-sorts Palace. The Eagles have just one point to show from their last five games and offered little on defeat at Newcastle over the weekend.

Premier League Bet to Net Accumulator Tip
Igor Thiago enjoyed an incredible start to the campaign with 11 goals in 13 Premier League games before a dry patch. He ended that six-game goal drought in emphatic fashion with a hat-trick at Everton at the weekend, he can back that treble up with at least one goal against the Black Cats.
Ollie Watkins endured a tough start to the season but has found a bit of form with four goals in his last three games. The Villa striker can add to his haul for the season on Wednesday.
Phil Foden is Manchester City’s top scorer behind Erling Haaland this season, netting ten times in all competitions. His role may be reduced by the arrivals of Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo but for now he can make hay.
Evanilson was on target for Bournemouth in the defeat to Arsenal and now has two goals in his last five games, the other coming in a 4-4 draw with Manchester United. The Brazilian forward looks a contender for an anytime effort on Wednesday.
