Europa League Predictions
Thursday 9th April
See AllBet To Net Best Bet Tip
Porto forward William Gomes has scored in three of his last four and he can add to his three Europa League goals with an anytime effort against Forest.
Correct Score Double Tip
Porto have won 11 of their last 13 home games, with two draws, and have a perfect home record this season in Europe with five wins in as many games. The Dragoes should be able to maintain that home record by seeing off Forest, who lost in Portugal during the league phase and had to dig deep against Midtjylland in the previous round. Porto have kept just two clean sheets in their last eight games and they’ve conceded in three of their five home Europa League games, while Forest have scored in seven consecutive away games. The hosts have scored at least twice in six successive games and they can take a 2-1 lead to the City Ground when these teams meet in the second leg.
Villa edged out a 1-0 win at Villa Park when these sides met in the first batch of league phase games but that game was incredibly close. With home advantage, Bologna can keep this tie alive and a 1-1 draw is the correct score pick – as the Italian outfit have scored exactly one goal in five of their last six home games and Villa have scored six goals across their last six away from home.
Both Teams To Score Double Tip
Both teams have scored in Freiburg’s last three matches and also in six of Celta’s last seven contests. The visitors seem unable to keep clean sheets at the moment while the hosts failed to hold on to a 2-0 lead at home on Saturday.
Villa are yet to draw a blank in Europe and they have scored in 11 of their last 12 games overall. Bologna have also scored in 11 of their last 12 games and they have scored in each of their last eight Europa League fixtures so goals at both ends looks likely.
Europa League Treble Tip
Porto have won 11 of their last 13 home games, with two draws, and have a perfect home record this season in Europe with five wins in as many games. The Dragoes should be able to maintain that home record by seeing off Forest, who lost in Portugal during the league phase and had to dig deep against Midtjylland in the previous round.

Freiburg’s home European form is impressive with nine straight wins in Baden-Wurttemberg. They’ve also won six of their last nine home games and can claim a first leg win before they head to Spain for the return fixture.
Bet Of The Day Tip
Porto have won 11 of their last 13 home games, with two draws, and have a perfect home record this season in Europe with five wins in as many games. The Dragoes should be able to maintain that home record by seeing off Forest, who lost in Portugal during the league phase and had to dig deep against Midtjylland in the previous round.
Bologna vs Aston Villa Shots On Target Treble Tip
Ollie Watkins To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Villa’s Ollie Watkins has found a bit of form after what has been a disappointing season by his standards with two goals and an assist in his last four games. Watkins averages 1.6 shots per-game in this competition and has an accuracy rate of around 50%, he can at least test the keeper on Thursday.
John McGinn To Have 1+ Shots On Target
John McGinn scored for Villa against Lille in the previous round and can at least record an attempt on target in Italy. McGinn averages 0.9 shots on target per 90 minutes for Villa in Europe.
Jonathan Rowe To Have 1+ Shots On Target
Bologna’s English forward Jonathan Rowe has two goals in his last three games, including one against Roma in the previous round, and has been more effective in Europe than he has domestically in attack – with three goals and two assists in 10 games. He’s had eight attempts in four home games for Bologna in Europe and can at least test the keeper.

How does the Europa League work?
Strap yourselves in – it gets complicated. Think of the Europa League as the Champions League’s little brother, or second-tier. There are a whole manner of ways in which teams can qualify.
In the big European leagues, the two or three teams best-finishing teams outside the Champions League qualification spots qualify for the Europa League. Entry can also be possible through winning a domestic cup. The lower the standard of the league, the fewer teams can qualify.
The tournament begins with four qualification rounds, usually filled with teams from small leagues, teams that finished outside the Champions League spots in the biggest European leagues, and 10 losers from the Champions League play-off round.
The official competition begins with a 48-team group stage, made up of 12 groups containing four teams each. In each group, each team plays each other twice, once home and once away. The top two qualify.
Then the knockout stage begins with the round of 32, where those who qualified from the group stage are joined by eight teams that finished 3rd in their Champions League groups. During the knockout stages there are two legs in each fixture, except the final, which is a stand-alone match.
Our Europa League tips cover all the games, from the group stage right through to the final.
